Double-sided

Double-sided rubber timing belts permit extremely efficient synchronous power transmission on both sides of the belt and can be used primarily in the low to medium performance range. The construction and profile dimensions of double-sided timing belts essentially corresponds to that of single-sided belts, although the power to be transmitted can be distributed on both ides of the timing belt, enabling contra-rotation drives to be used with reverse motion. The power to be transmitted can be distributed as required to both sides of the belt.

DHTD

The original HTD (High Torque Dive) profile, which is characterised especially by its special tooth height and curvilinear tooth geometry, is used as the DHTD profile on double-sided timing belts.

The properties of the HTD profile, including guarantee against the teeth ratcheting and good transmission of high torques, can therefore be assured on both sides of the timing belt.

CONTI SYNCHROTWIN®

The CONTI SYNCHROTWIN® timing belt, the standard version with an DHTD profile, is a drive element that enables drives to be used with contra-motion in the lower and medium performance range. Synchronous power transmission on both sides of the belt, distribution of the power to be transmitted on both sides of the timing belt as required coupled with excellent efficiency are features that distinguish the CONTI SYNCHROTWIN®.

The high-performance CXP versions for high speeds and CXA for high torques are made of aramide fibre-reinforced elastomer and impress with their excellent resistance to tooth deformation forces and reliably constant length.

CONTI SYNCHROTWIN® double-sided timing belts are suitable for same- and contra-rotating directions. They therefore provide for compact drives in terms of space and weight to be operated with an efficiency of up to 98%.

Optibelt OMEGA

 The Optibelt OMEGA was developed as a double-sided timing belt for synchronous power transmission on both sides of the belt. The flexible polychloroprene compound of the backing of the belt effectively protects the timing belt from external influences. The teeth are made of a polychloroprene rubber compound, which is characterised primarily by its high shear strength and low-noise running. Applications for the Optibelt OMEGA DOUBLE-SIDED include slow to fast-running drives without specific impact loads.

DSTD

The STD (Super Torque Drive) profile with its arch-shaped geometry is also used for double-sided timing belts. The DSTD profile provides for optimum tooth meshing in operation with double-sided rubber timing belts. The standard version of these double-sided belts is used in the low and medium performance range. The CXP and CXA versions are available for the high performance range and boast excellent resistance of the teeth to deformation and a reliable constant length.

The double-sidedCONTI SYNCHROTWIN® timing belt has a synthetic rubber backing and teeth as well as a glass fibre tension cord. The CONTI SYNCHROTWIN® is resistant to ozone, conditionally resistant to oil and maintenance-free.

Double-sided rubber timing belts are also available with an imperial pitch. They are classified according to DIN/ISO 5296 and are suitable for use in imperial systems.

Optibelt ZR double-sided

The double-sided Optibelt ZR timing belt is manufactured with a profile classified according to DIN/ISO 5296. This trapezoidal profile rubber timing belt is produced from sleeves in the spiral cut process and boasts a glass fibre tension cord. The Optibelt ZR double-sided belt is suitable for international use and is available in a range of different lengths and widths.
