Open-Ended (Open Lengths)

Rubber timing belts sold by the meter are made of EPDM or similar compounds and are suitable for flexible standard applications. They are primarily used where variable lengths, higher gear ratios, high belt speeds, or small pulley diameters are required.

This design enables precise transmission of rotary motion at constant circumferential speed and offers high efficiency and quiet operation. It is particularly suitable for applications without high shock loads.

Compared to the double-sided rubber timing belts, power transmission occurs o one side, while endless manufactured rubber timing belts are designed for higher performance requirements. It is temperature-resistant from -40 °C to +120 °C and conditionally oil resistant.

For detailed technical specifications of the individual timing belts, please refer to the respective data sheet.

More informations

Rubber timing belts sold by the meter (also known as open-end rubber timing belts) are open-end timing belts that are supplied in any length. They are suitable for custom designs and flexible constructions in linear drive systems.

Rubber timing belts sold by the meter are used in linear drives, conveyor systems, and special-purpose machines when flexible lengths or customized solutions are required.

Endless rubber timing belts are used when flexible lengths are needed or when the belt needs to be customized or thermally bonded. Continuous timing belts, on the other hand, are used for high loads and continuous power transmission.

Depending on the version, rubber timing belts sold by the meter can be thermally welded to create a closed timing belt for specific applications.

Rubber timing belts sold by the meter offer maximum flexibility in length, easy adaption to machine designs, and are particularly suitable for custom and linear applications.
