Rubber V-ribbed belts are V-belts with ribs running in a longitudinal direction. The functionality of a V-ribbed belt drive essentially depends on the associated V-ribbed belt pulley.

V-Ribbed belt pulleys are manufactured from common materials, like steel, and conform to DIN 7867/ISO 9982. It is not recommended that operators use less than the minimum pulley diameter for trouble-free operation and a long service life. The larger the pulley diameter, the longer the service life of the belt. Having said that, the maximum belt speed should not be exceeded either.
