Taper bushes are conical elements used to produce a friction-locking shaft-hub connection. The use of this clamping element fixes the hub, for example of a V-belt pulley, axially precisely on the shaft.
Taper bushes are available pre-drilled for shaft diameters of 10 mm to 125 mm. Taper bushes are available with metric bores, in accordance with DIN 6885, and with imperial bores in accordance with the British Standard BS 46.
