Ribbed belt pulleys

Rubber ribbed belts are V-belts with ribs running in a longitudinal direction. The functionality of a ribbed belt drive essentially depends on the associated ribbed belt pulley.

Ribbed belt pulleys are manufactured from common materials, like steel, and conform to DIN 7867/ISO 9982. It is not recommended that operators use less than the minimum pulley diameter for trouble-free operation and a long service life. The larger the pulley diameter, the longer the service life of the belt. Having said that, the maximum belt speed should not be exceeded either.

PJ

Ribbed belt pulleys with a PJ profile are part of the standard range and are manufactured with a different number of ribs. Ribbed belt pulleys with four ribs have a pulley face width of 13.5 mm, with 8 ribs the pulley face width is 23.0 mm, with 12 ribs 32.5 mm and with 16 ribs 42.00 mm.
