Flyer chains are used in cranes, hoist equipment or to attach counter-weights. The transmission of reversing movements under load is possible with flyer chains. They are constructed as pitch chains and are characterised by working without the intervention of a chain wheel. The integration of the link plates can vary depending on the load. Flyer chains are simply fixed by the inner and outer end links.
They are classified according to DIN 8152 / ISO 4347 and are differentiated as follows.
- The LL series is based on components of roller chain standard ISO 606
- The LH series (BL series) is based on roller chain components of ISO 606 Series A
