With the various special materials available to us, we can cover a temperature range of up to -40 °C to +130 °C. These limits vary depending on the base material used. For example, the minimum temperature for our TPUKF1 polyurethane material is -25 °C, while the maximum temperature for our TPUWB (1 and 2) is 110 °C.

The pre-tensioning of the timing belt depends on your application. In principle, the belt pre-tension must not exceed 50% of the permissible circumferential force specified for the timing belt used. In order to achieve the maximum service life of the timing belt, a specific calculation should be made for the timing belt drive and the drive should be adjusted using a frequency measurement. You can obtain the necessary belt tension measuring devices from our webshop, for example.

Yes, every belt must be guided. Flanged pulleys are the easiest way to guide timing belts. In addition, the timing belt can be guided using a guide strip (K6/K13), groove or special self-guiding toothing (BAT, SFAT, EAGLE), for example. Simply contact us with your specific requirements.

We work with straight tension rollers or toothed pulleys for timing belt drives. Only flat belts use crowned idlers.

Based on our extensive experience, we can give you an estimate of the service life of belts and information on replacement intervals. However, this can only be done after a detailed assessment of the operating conditions.
